After being denied the Ranji Trophy, Prithvi Shaw's cryptic post went viral with the caption, "You Can Take Me Out Of The Game..."

Once regarded as the next great thing in Indian cricket, Prithvi Shaw was left out of the Vijay Hazare Trophy roster and last played for Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy.

The Mumbai cricket squad is hard at work getting ready for the upcoming Ranji Trophy. Stars like Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal have also participated in the preparation. For the Elite Group A match against Jammu and Kashmir, which begins on January 23, Rohit has not yet confirmed his availability, but Jaiswal has. In the midst of this, Mumbai player Prithvi Shaw posted a mysterious message on social media.

Once regarded as the next big thing in Indian cricket, Shaw was left out of the Vijay Hazare Trophy squad and last played for Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy. "You can take me out of the game, but you can't stop me working," Shaw said in the mysterious message.

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has come under fire from former India selector Jatin Paranjape for how it has handled star batter Prithvi Shaw, who was recently cut from the state squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

This comes after news organisation Press Trust of India (PTI) revealed that Shaw's poor fitness, lack of discipline, and attitude problems occasionally compelled MCA to "hide" him on the pitch. Shaw frequently skipped training sessions after arriving at the team hotel at "six in the morning" and spending the entire night out, according to an MCA source cited in the story. Shaw was also called "his own enemy" by the source.

Paranjape, however, has expressed sympathy for Shaw and stated that the MCA has no plans to assist the player, who may be searching for a new team starting in the upcoming season. Additionally, the MCA source was criticised by Paranjape for sharing such "loose comments"
